Chore List
Chores are a part of life no matter how much we may dislike them. It takes a lot of organization and a lot of work to keep a family and home running smoothly and efficiently. It is reasonable to expect each and every member of the family to play a part in the upkeep of the home and this is where a chore list can come in handy.
Making a chore chart can seem difficult if you have never made one before. There are however a few things to keep in mind that will make the whole process much easier. The first and most obvious place to start is to simply write a list of all the chores that need doing at your place. It pays to be realistic at this point and only include those things that you can reasonably expect to actually get done.
The second thing you need to do is to assign each chore to a particular family member. You can start off asking for volunteers for any specific chores and then assign the rest as you see fit. It is also worthwhile at this point to consider any type of rewards that may be offered for certain chores and what exactly will need to be done to receive it.
The next step is to draw up your chore chart, listing the chores along with a brief description as well as associated reward. A column where the name of the person who completed the chore can be written is a good idea too. This will help to keep track of who did what and when.
You will then need to display your chart in a prominent place so that everyone will see easily throughout the day and it will serve as a reminder of what needs to be done and by whom. Keeping everyone accountable is a great way to avoid arguments about who is not doing their share.
A chore list can be a fantastic tool to keep track of all the jobs that need to be done while at the same time getting each family member to contribute to the running of the household.
